Quartz Infrared Emitters

The Vulcatherm range of ceramic infrared emitters uses iron, chrome, aluminium resistance wire contained in alternate fused silica tubes. The specification of tube used transmits the majority of radiated power which is characterized as medium wave. Energy absorbed by the fused silica tubes is re-emitted in charscteristic long wave form. The fused silica tubes are supported in a specially designed reflector ensuring maximum forward radiation to give an emitter with fast response and uniform heating characteristics.
